David Daniel developed an early interest and passion for metals, electronics and engineering at large from a tender age even without knowing what engineering was all about. He grew up in a remote area, with his love to solving problems he decided to take up a course in engineering. In 2019, he received her degree in Mechanical Engineering in University of Agriculture Makurdi, Benue State with a second-class upper. After graduation, he began working with Dorena Bakers and also involved in self development program. He has worked with Julius Berger Plc Nigeria as a technical assistant for six (6) months during his industrial training, where he learnt the installation of wash basin, urinal, water closet, fire sprinkler heads, pipes, valves, heater, outdoor and indoor units of air conditioning systems etc. He has volunteered for SI4DEV in community service like the distribution of sanitary pads to IDP girls and relief materials to orphanage homes. He was born with a disability and that has made him become curious about innovations that will make life easy for people and the disabled especially, this has led to the invention of a solar powered voice controlled wheelchair by a team of four engineers with David Daniel inclusive. This innovative work came first in the Young Engineers Forum at NSE (Nigeria Society of Engineers) conference and second in FAFME (Forging Africa Future Mechanical Engineers) competition in Abuja. He has passion for design, fabrication, automobile and robotics. When he is not in school and not preoccupied with other local activities, David Daniel is simple, jovial, a good team player, creative, hardworking and easy going. He enjoys spending time reading, rehearsing the piano, visiting family and friends, eating especially rice, relaxing and watching football. One of his life wishes is to empower and give scholarship to the poor/less privileged.
