Biographical Info
OBANLA Solomon is a Nigerian. A social researcher and consultant. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Gender and Peacebuilding (Genre et Consolidation de la Paix) from Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar, Senegal. The Multidisciplinary, Bilingual, Research and Professional Master Degree was co-taught by Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar Senegal and University for Peace, Costal Rica with support from Pan African Centre for Gender, Peace and Development: Femmes Africa Solidarité (FAS), Dakar, Senegal. Solomon obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in International Relations from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He also has a certificate of completion as a Peer Educator on Reproductive Health HIV/AIDS Prevention and care. He is a certified Chartered Associate Member of Nigerian Institute of Management. He has deep understanding of the organizational structures and operations of International and Regional organizations. Part of his academic and field trainings include Migration, Economy Development, Business Management, Humanitarian Law, Child Protection, Human Rights, Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care, Gender mainstreaming and peacekeeping operations based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 and so on. He is currently with Seefar Enterprise, Hong Gong as Local Migration Expert in The Migrant Project Lagos, Nigeria. He was an Intern Account Officer in the Federal Ministry of Finance Graduate Internship Scheme, Nigeria. He was also an Intern at Femmes Africa Solidarité Regional Office/Pan-African Centre for Gender, Peace and Development, Dakar, Senegal. He has been privileged to work as a Volunteer Teacher for over four years with Lagos State Government in the World Bank sponsored Eko Secondary Education Project. He was an Administrative Assistant with Okobo Local Government, Akwa-Ibom State during his National Youth Service in Nigeria. He also volunteered as Peer Educator for Akwa Ibom State Government, Nigeria and trained adolescent in schools and village women at the maternity centre on Reproductive health, HIV/AIDS prevention and care and he got awards for good community services.
