Akpan is a Project Manager and CEO, Season Consulting Services, Agriculture Extension Service Advisor with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) on voluntary basis. Akpan is a multi-skilled Environmental/Project Management Professional with over 10 years of people, project/programme, operations and strategic management experience in the private and public sectors. A forward thinker, goal-getter and an advocate of sustainable best practices. He has been a Founder/Pioneer Secretary General, Students’ Chemical Society of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic chapter. Akpan is an MDG Merit Award winner having participated in MDG Advocacy Project in 2008. He is an author, a conference speaker and has published 5 research articles in reputable international journal. As a young professional, he won YPW Best Performance Award of Society of Petroleum Engineers in 2009. In 2017, Akpan joined Young Africa Leaders Initiative (YALI) and participated on its leadership training. With six certificates earned at present, Akpan is fully committed to the service of his community. Akpan has been an active member of YALI Network Face2Face group Akwa Ibom Chapter; Ambassador, Strategic and Innovation for Development (SI4DEV). His areas of interest include public health; food sufficiency and community development in general.
