In respect to COVID-19 RESPONSE IN KANO STATE, Strategy and Innovation for Development Initiative(SI4DEV) Volunteering Team led by Nathaniel Echiye, Blessing Isah and Ademola Rukayat Abiodun paid a courtesy visit to FAGGE PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRE located at Sabon Gari with donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on behalf of SI4DEV.
The Chief Medical Officer Hajiya Hauwa Umar and other health workers received the PPE package which comprises of protective Head-covers, protective eye glasses, surgical hand-gloves, surgical face masks, N95 face mask, fliers, banner, disposable protective gown, wash station with tap, hand wash, hand sanitizer, and packs of table water.
600 Face-masks for patients in which some were shared to the patients who came for treatment while orienting them on the importance of maintaining social distance and observing basic hygienic routines.
The CMO appreciated the efforts of SI4DEV team for supporting the fight against COVID-19.
Phase 2 of the courtesy visit was at Oba of Yoruba ‘s Palace where the Prince/secretary of the Palace Rasheed Zakaria and Hajiya Amudat Ishaq Women leader representing the women community and widows were presented with a wash station with tap, hand sanitizers, hand-wash, pack of table water and 200 face-masks to be distributed evenly base on their records/data..They also appreciated the effort of SI4DEV on behalf of the Oba of Yoruba in Kano.
200 face masks were also distributed to vulnerable ones in a location at Dambatta Local government area and part of Yankaba market in Nassarawa local government area of Kano State.
