Report on sensitization and distribution of food items at maraban rido in Chikun LGA and kakuri, Kaduna south LGA, Kaduna state.
The visit to the two communities came at a crucial time of hunger and starvation due to the lockdown imposed by the state governmen, though with partial movement within the state on selected days. People who need to go out before they can get what to eat with their families are over 70% in the two communities and with the lockdown it was difficult for them to have access to food for their families the widows were more affected not to say that, majority of the people in these communities depends on daily wages as they are predominantly hawkers and farmers.
The aim of our visit to the two communities was to educate the people on the need of social distancing, for them to know that the virus is real because as at then many were still not accepting the truth of the virus existence and constant washing of hands with soap under running water for at least 20 minutes or using hand sanitizer with a little demonstration.
