We are profoundly grateful for the opportunity given to us by SI4DEV to work as volunteer partners in various ways to alleviate the economic hardship wrought on the people by the Covid-19 lockdown in Abia State. On the 20th April, 2020, at exactly 12 noon, we visited the Ohokobe na Umuokeyi-Afaraukwu Primary Health Centre in Umuahia, Abia State. The state of the P.H.C was very poor and we are glad we could give them some materials to help their job be easier.

We gave a carton of hand sanitizers, a wash-hand bucket with tap attached, some packets of head covers, hand gloves and face masks. We also made available some fliers they could share to more members of the community to enlighten them on precautionary measures during this COVID-19 season.

We addressed the community chairman, the spokesman of the cabinet, and the nurses working at the PHC.

On behalf of the community, the secretary in charge of the community expressed his deepest warm feelings for the goodwill and service to humanity the organisation SI4DEV rendered to them, He prayed and wished we remember them in any way an opportunity comes for the betterment of the community. We are grateful to be part of this act of community service.
