Precious Olofinyokun is a Program Assistant in the ofice of the wife of Governor of Ekiti state.

My name is Precious Olofinyokun, an indigene of Ilara-Mokin in Ondo State, South West Nigeria. Basically I work on the following goals in my community:-Goal 1: No poverty Goal 2: Zero hunger Goal 3: Good health and well being Goal 4: Quality education Goal 5: Gender equality Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation Goal 16: Peace and justice, strong institutions Goal 17: Partnerships to achieve the goals.

I do a lot of advocacy and putting a lot of works in place in order to achieve this goals. I’m so involved because like the mantra of the goal: leaving no one behind, as I’m engaging in various activities, I also make sure I’m building a lot of people to know what they stand for and for them to be involved in their various communities. Achieving these goals is key and we have the results of all our works out there.

I am an advocate of gender rights especially favoring the girl child, young people, and women. I am a social organizer and canvasser for sustainable development practices, and currently a sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Ambassador of Ekiti State. I earned my first degree in Marketing with special interest in Gender and Development studies. I am currently a postgraduate student at the Ekiti State University, specializing in Gender and Development Studies. I am driven by an objective to see a more equitable world, one where young girls and women can live fulfilled and be involved in the decision-making process that shapes their lives. I believe in participatory governance as this fuels strong responsible behavior and inclusion. My hope is to see a world that is environmentally sustainable with deliberate and intentional actions driven towards its fulfillment by individuals, groups, institutions, and governments.

While I was growing up I faced a lot of challenges as a little girl who has to be brought up by my step mother and father,I stayed with them for just 1year but I saw hell ,later on moving from one house to another facing a lot of abuse…ever since I made up my mind that I will never watch any child been abuse or molested and will always stand for what’s right

My advice to young people is no matter the situation there’s always light at the end of the tunnel…young people should follow process and not shortcut to avoid cutting their life short
