MINUTE OF THE EIGHT (8TH) MEETING FOR STRATEGY AND INNOVATION FOR DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES NASSARAWA, KANO LOCATION HELD ON 6TH OCTOBER, 2018 AT AMERICAN CORNER KANO,
KANO STATE LIBRARY COMPLEX, AHMADU BELLO WAY.
The meeting of the SI4DEV Nassarawa Kano location started at exactly about 12:00 noon in the absence of the coordinator (Mr. Babatunde), the Asst. coordinator ( Mr. Sadisu) officiated the meeting, with opening prayers from Mr. Hezekiah (Secretary).
Introduction
Every one present introduced their selves.
Apologies
Mr. Hezekiah (Secretary) apologies for Mr Babatunde (Coordinator) who is writing tests in school and Mr. Musa who traveled to Japan for a training.
Last minute report
The minute of the 7th meeting was read by Mr. Hezekiah (Secretary) and corrections were made.
Adoption of last minute report
The minute was adopted by Mr Ismail (P.R.O) and seconded by Mr. Hezekiah (Secretary).
Matters from the Last Minutes
The Asst. coordinator (Mr. Sadisu) says the PVC campaign was done.
The Asst. coordinator (Mr. Sadisu)says we should try and launch M.Y Yusuf Islamayyi junior secondary school by November since project manager will be in Nigeria by that period for the summit in Abuja or the mallam should be sponsored to be part of the summit in Abuja by November so he can share the success story and what si4dev has done.
Mr. Hezekiah (Secretary) briefed the everyone on the INECS visit and what they required from every organization before they can be observers and unfortunately si4dev does not have some of the required documents and he also talked about adult staff opportunity.
The Asst. coordinator (Mr. Sadisu) says it was good that we make attempt and the name of si4dev has gone to INEC’s archives.

Project
The Asst. coordinator (Mr. Sadisu) encourage every member to support the project of clean and affordable drinking water that will done in Sabo community in Bichi LGA, Kano state and he asked Mr. Hezekiah (Secretary) to enlightens everyone on the borehole project.
Mr. Hezekiah (Secretary) encouraged all members to see the need of supporting this project and said it is not his personal project but our location project. He went further to say, we need to build our land, kano and Nigeria as whole because nobody will come and do it for us. They should share with their friends and anyone who can support.
The Asst. coordinator (Mr. Sadisu) spoke about the 2018 graduating class of partners as alumni’s saying we have more members from this location who are graduating and also spoke on the National summit coming up in November 17th in Abuja, he says the process to apply for the stipend to attend the summit as a delegate should be followed duly as the secretary has posted it on the group chat.
The Asst coordinator (Mr. Sadisu) also encourages everyone to apply and become volunteers for those who are just joining us and have not applied before.
Action Plan
The house agreed Tuesday 9th October, 2018 to visit M.Y. YUSUF ISLAMIYYA JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL UNGWA GAYA, BADAWA by 11am, and those who knows the school can go there direct but those who don’t know it they are to come to LADYBIRD SCHOOL Badawa layout and contact the secretary to come and direct them inn and 6 members showed interest to be there. As vital issues will be discussed with the Mallam.
Suggestions/Advice
No suggestions/advice was said.
AOB
Mr. Usman says, in Kabo, they have limited schools because the schools are far distance from residential areas but the house told him to go back look at what can be done and if possible he should a proposal on it.
Mr Hezekiah (Secretary) encourage everyone never to underrate what he does no matter how small it is but they should keep doing the little they can or know how to do.
The Asst coordinator (Mr. Sadisu) welcomes those joining us for the first time and he also encouraged them to be active and focused.
Adjournment
With the meeting agenda exhausted and no further deliberation, Mr Ismail (P.R.O) adjourn the meeting to 3rd November, 2018 and was seconded by Bar. Sa’adat by 1:15pm.

Closing prayer was done by Mr Usman.
