With the continuous lockdown on movement and activities in Lagos, SI4DEV decided to provide food palliatives to residents of the Ayobo community within the Alimosho Local Government through its local partners who are deeply rooted in their local communities and are therefore best positioned to provide reliable support at times like this when western NGOs are pulling their staff out of the country and fundraising to focus relief efforts elsewhere.
The Alimosho team were mobilized, fliers and a banner were produced so as to sensitize the indigenes on the preventive measures to adopt and curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus and also provide food palliative to low-income homes.
The Alimosho team was spearheaded by Fakorede Olumide Daniel and Afemikhe Emmanuel with support from SI4DEV Volunteers within the community.
The local community was happy to receive the palliative and urged SI4DEV to continue the great work which it has always been know for.
