MINUTES OF THE SECOND (2ND) MEETING FOR STRATEGY AND INNOVATION FOR DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES, OSOGBO, OSUN STATE CHAPTER ON THE 3rd of AUGUST, 2018 AT MANDELA FREEDOM PARK, OSOGBO
The meeting started at 11:53am with the opening prayer from one of our new volunteers in person of Mr Isreal.
Miss Tomisin gave a brief recap of what SI4DEV stands for to the hearing of our new volunteers.
Last Minute report
The last meeting report of the 1st meeting was read by Mr Mubarak and was adopted as a working document by the members.
Report from Okua community
Mr Ibrahim gave a report on his visitation to OKUA community with Mr Fuad. He informed us about unfolded when they got there and the challenges they faced over there which was the issue of identifying them as a member of the said organization.
Miss Tomisin reminded the house about the wonderful contribution the program manager assisted the chapter with and the house appreciated the program manager.
Reports from Medical personnel reachers
Mr Fuad and Miss Tomisin who were tasked to get Medical personnel gave their report and assured the house of the willingness of the personnel to assist in the talks and were tasked again to get the biography of the resource persons before the next meeting.
Upcoming project
The preparation for the upcoming projected started with the house suggesting the proposed date for the project in OKUA community. A date (proposed) was finally chosen to be 17TH OCTOBER, 2018 which happens to be on a Wednesday and is to be communicated to the school authority in OKUA community.
The honorarium to be given to the medical personnel was also discussed and we resolved that Beverages, Sugar and groundnut be packaged in an envelope for each personnel

Brief explanation of what the students understand by DRUG ABUSE

At the end of the preparation for the October project, the house suggested carry out 2 projects in August under the health section which are
Visitation to the hospital (proposed hospital is ASUBIARO Hospital)
Visitation to the orphanage home
For the visitation to the hospital, the house resolved that fruits, beverages, noodles and toiletries be given and for the visitation to the orphanage home, the house has not resolved on what to be given yet.
Proposed dates for visitation to the hospital and orphanage home has been fixed to be 2nd and 4th week of/in August respectively.
Mr Ibrahim suggested we always have someone presiding over each meeting in the absence of the no 1 conveyer
Vote of thanks
Mr Ibrahim gave the vote of thanks. He appreciated everyone who attended and also express much gratitiude to Miss Tomisin and Mr Pelumi who came from far to attend the meeting in Osogbo despite the flooding that was experienced in their town a day before.
Adjournment
Mr Isreal moved for the adjournment of the meeting at 2:16pm to the next communicated date that woukld be announced via the group page. Mr Pelumi seconded it.
