REPORT TITLE: VoteSquad Campaign by Abuja Location Group.
VENUE: Bannex Plaza, Wuse II.
DATE: 8th February, 2019.
TIME: 3.00PM.
BACKGROUND:
Abuja location group carried out the votesquad campaign, a program initiated SI4DEV to create awareness and encourage Nigerians to come out and vote/participate in the forthcoming elections holding on the 23rd February, 2019 and 16th March, 2019 for various elective positions.

OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE: The objective of the campaign was to educate the masses on the importance of participating in the electoral and encouraging them to come out en-masse to vote.
The aim or purpose of the program was to improve voter participation in the forthcoming Nigerian general elections.

DESCRIPTION AND SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES:
The group met at zera Finance, Banex with 12 persons in attendance,
including four new volunteers. A brief orientation about the program was given by the team
lead Miss Patricia Okolo after which members went out to talk to people in groups of four and
share fliers carrying various messages all encouraging them to fully participate in the
forthcoming general elections.

After the awareness group members gathered again for briefing and were encourage to post
about the program and share pictures on social media tagging SI4DEV and using the hashtag
#votesquad.

BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT:
The campaign was successful, hitch free and the message was well received.

ACTUAL NUMBER OR ESTIMATE OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS IMPACTED:
About 30- 50 persons were spoken to and 95% of them pledged to vote.

WHAT COULD WE HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER:
The campaign would’ve been done for different days in different locations within the FCT so as to reach more people.

Next project is to participate in the International Women’s Day campaign
With the 2019 theme #Balanceforbetter
