Here is Hezekiah’s story

Hezekiah belongs to the SI4DEV Nassarrawa, Kano State branch located in Northern Nigeria where he attended its first brainstorming session on a variety of project ideas. He is a committed and active member and partner, by attending meetings and visiting the website, Facebook page and WhatsApp group chat etc. He was selected as the secretary of the branch and a vocal champion and evangelist for recruiting volunteers. In April, SI4DEV joined the international community to mark World Health Day, and Hezekiah participated actively in amplifying our online and social media hashtag campaign, calling for health for all and universal health coverage in Nigeria, alongside other partners on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

He was also part of the Global Youth Service Day, where the SI4DEV team led a social investment project in an Almajiri school in Badawa Layout, Nassarrawa LGA, Kano state and 108 youth were sensitized and fed. He is the brain behind an Almajiri school now a government junior secondary school where western education is done which was approved by KANO state SUBEB in 2018 in Badawa Nasarrawa LGA, KANO state.

In his quest for positive leadership, He is a Member of Open Leadership. Hezekiah is an advocate of Quality education, good health, quality and affordable drinking water. Where he has partner, inspired, donated and manage a borehole project in Sabo community of Bichi LGA, Kano, he has sensitize schools on the dangers of drug abuse and also sensitize the girl child on the importance of girl child education in one of the big government girls school in KMC Kano.

In his quest for leadership, Hezekiah organized an online campaign on #GoCollectYourPVCandVoteWisely. Presently in contribution to fight against COVID-19 he has partnered with SI4DEV to sensitize and donate food items to 21 vulnerable families in Badawa Nasarrawa LGA. He is a member of YALI and also online Cohort 11 yet to be graduated because of the COVID-19.

Hezekiah Mba Ibrahim is a from Kaduna state but base in KANO state. A graduate of Forestry technology from Federal College of Forestry Mechanization Afaka-Kaduna, NYSC in kano, under going PGD in Environmental Management at Bayero University Kano. He is the CEO of HEZEKIAH TAKANAI FARMS. Where he is into rice farming and other grains in KANO. He works as a Facility Manager in one of the big schools in KANO.

Hezekiah is a volunteer and a partner of SI4DEV (Strategy and Innovation for Development Initiative) KANO location an assistant training coach of Street Business School in SI4DEV where they train people on business skill. He is a project manager, M & E in SI4DEV and it is where he has anchored and initiated a lot of projects here in KANO. Hezekiah is an advocate of Quality education, good health, quality and affordable drinking water. Where he has partner, inspired, donated and manage a borehole project in Sabo community of Bichi LGA, Kano, he has sensitize schools on the dangers of drug abuse and also sensitize the girl child on the importance of girl child education in one of the big government girls school in KMC kano.

Presently in contribution to fight against COVID-19 he has partnered with SI4DEV to sensitize and donate food items to 21 vulnerable families in Badawa Nasarrawa LGA. He is a member of YALI and also online Cohort 11 yet to be graduated because of the COVID-19. Now, he is an Alumni of African Change Makers fellowship and he recently won the Alumni of the month of July. Above all, he is a positive Leader , community developer and Leadership inspired and oriented and with a statement always #TinkPositve which has been what is inspiring him.

I love putting smiles on the faces of people. I love to see people having the basic amenities that is ideal for them to have. Above all, working with an NGO just keep making me fulfilled and happy that is why I love volunteering anywhere and anytime.

His advice to young people is : They should not wait for anyone to come fix the problem in their community rather, they should try by solving it out themselves.
