REPORT OF IKA LOCATION GROUP FACE TO FACE MEETING

Background
As part of Strategy and Innovative Development Initiatives (SI4DEV) mandate to empower community leaders towards achieving an improved sustainable development in Nigeria, SI4DEV partners across the states were mandated to hold face to face meeting.
A meeting of the Ika location group of SI4DEV was held on 16th April, 2018 by 4 pm at Ikot Esu, Ika Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State. Nnamso Esu called the meeting to order at about 4:20pm and appointed Mr Nsidibe Ime Isonguyo to act as a Secretary recording the minutes and the meeting having been duly convened, was ready to proceed with the following agenda:
1. Brief introduction of SI4DEV and its important in our community development
2. Appointment of officers
3. Upcoming Global Youth service program (GYSD)
3. Next time meeting
Those that were in attendance are:
1. Amb. Nnamso Esu
2. Mr. Nsidibe Ime
3. Mr Nnamso Anthony
4. Mr. Mfon John
5. Mr Samuel Brown.
Those that supposed to be in the meeting but absence are
1. Miss INI obong Benjamin
2. Mr. Inameti Isiehe
3. Mr Benedict Ekoriko
Discussion: Amb. Nnamso Esu review the agenda and welcome everyone to the meeting.
1. Brief introduction of SI4DEV and its important in our community development: Amb Nnamso Esu gave a brief introduction and explanation about SI4DEV and why we should embrace her vision. A number of questions about the organization was asked and extensive discussion ensued
2. Appointment of officers: the following people were appointed into various offices namely; Amb. Nnamso Esu, Chairman, Mr Nsidibe Ime, Secretary, Mr Mfon John, financial secretary, Mr Samuel Brown, Treasurer.
3. Upcoming Global Youth service program (GYSD): we brainstorm on the event, and the following questions were asked; are we fully prepared, what are the cost for participating in the event and extensive discussion ensued. Finally, we came up with idea to buy cloths for those in needs, visit prison and celebrate with them and also buy long lasting insecticide net (LLIN) for pregnant women for mosque prevention.
4. Next time meeting: We all agreed to meet once in a month
