As part of efforts to cushion the effects of the Covid-19 lockdown on vulnerable families and in a bid to sensitize the public on ways to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Project Impact Initiative received a grant of 100,000 Naira from Stategy and Innovation for development Initiative. to carry out a project aimed at providing palliatives to vulnerable families in Gwagwalada Area Council of FCT.
On the 28th of April 2020 , Project Impact Initiative donated palliatives such as food items, sanitizers, wash bucket and Information materials to passo and Kutunku communities in Gwagwalada Area Council of FCT.
A total of 36 families received food items such as Rice, Beans, Garri, Salt, Vegetable oil and other consumables.
The team also sensitized over 100 members of the community on safety measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Wash bucket was donated to the community to be stationed at the community heads residence. Information materials such as banners and stickers was also distributed.
One of the high point of the outreach was when one of the beneficiaries; Mrs Grace Nwankwo expressed gratitude to the team for coming to her rescue when she and her family needed food.
The beneficiaries of the outreach expressed thanks to the team for reaching out to them at a time they needed support.
The entire team at Project Impact Initiative is grateful for the grant that has helped to Impact lives and look forward to more patnerships with SI4DEV.
