The Kano Nassarawa location group embarked on a drug abuse awareness in Cedar Presidential private college, Yankaba KANO on 31 July,2018 in a stylish way of rounding up the month.
The program was anchored by Hezekiah.
The school was our first private school visit. They accepted us happily and warmly by organizing the students in their biggest classroom most especially the SSS classes to participate in the awareness, the staff were present to help control the students from noise making or making sure they give listening ears.
Mr Babatunde introduced who we are as SI4DEV and what we stand for.
Mr Sadisu took the awareness section by lettingthe students know what drug abuse is, the implications of abusing drugs, the course of drugs abuse, why drugs should not be abused etc.
The students were asked questions, whuch they answered and little tokens of gifts was given to them.
The students were given time to ask questions, in which they pen down there questions on piece of papers and it was addressed.
The school management appreciated our effort and coming, they also which we could come again for other programs, also the students learnt and also were impacted and they wish we could stay.
A group photo was taken with few number of the students and posters were given to them to also use in educating their friends at home.
SI4DEV partners and volunteers present also had a group photo. Seven people in total.

Kudos Team Nassarawa Kano. Good job you are doing. These children are vulnerable to drug abuse and its great how you let them know about it before they go into it.
