REPORT OF THE LOCATION OF SI4DEV INITIATIVE IN ADO EKITI HELD ON THE 27TH OF MARCH, 2018.

DISCUSSIONS:
The meeting was anchored by the location partner of the strategy and innovation for development initiative (Mr Taoheed Olanrewaju ALIMI) while Miss RoyalTee served as the secretary to the meeting. The discussion started with appreciation of the effort of the volunteers so far which also went along with introduction of volunteers.
The location partner therefore highlighted lists of benefit volunteers can gain from SI4DEV as well as reasons for them to take deliberate and conscious actions towards making Nigeria a better place. From there, he explained in details the four focus areas of the organization as he painted several pictures and scenarios that can warrant the board of trustee of the organization to come up with the focus area.
Shortly after Mr Taoheed Olanrewaju ALIMI (the location partner) did that, he made the floor open by asking for volunteer to discuss on action plan to embark upon especially in the coming months (April) with careful consideration of the focus areas.
Mr Agunbiade AbdulWasiu (a SI4DEV Ado Ekiti volunteer) took the lead by suggesting we organize a sensitization program across schools especially to final year students that are writing exams. From his experience as a teacher he discovered students are complacent with their education. Another Volunter (Miss RoyalTee) who is grounded in business expertise and also has passion for girls and women suggested we organize a skill and empowerment session. She went on to say one can start a business with as low as 500 naira.
Mr Alex (another Volunteer), suggest we organize a health outreach to bring awareness about Lassa fever in neighbouring villages. He also checked into governance as he suggested we organize a conference around it. Mr Akintayo Bamidele also gave a similar suggestion by stating several things we need to put in place to actualize those goals.
ACTION PLAN
For month April, the whole team agrees to work on organizing a sensitization seminar across schools. We therefore highlighted 10 schools to work with (5 private and 5 government school) for which which volunteers are saddled with the responsibility of at least 2 schools to handle.
CONCLUSION
The meeting was a success as every volunteer saw the active need for participation and then contributed positively to the success of the meeting. Beyond that, based in the strength individuals as a result of our field of expertise, we were able to bring ideas to table which made it productive. The meeting ended by 6pm with a total number of 5 Volunteers.
